Choose Your Diamond, Choose Your Ring

Choosing the right diamond to create the perfect engagement ring might seem like a daunting task if you haven’t done it before or if you haven’t done it in a while. Relax! We are here to help you do just that. We know about diamonds and rings and will share with you as much or as little of that knowledge as you want. Our store is warm and inviting and we think you will be comfortable here. We will guide you though the process and help you find just the right diamond from the tens of thousands available on the market today.

So ... How Long Does it Take?

It depends, of course! Believe it or not, we have had people walk in for the first time and walk out the same day with their custom engagement ring. It doesn’t happen often, but it does happen now and then. Since we do all our jewelry work on-site with our own goldsmiths, it’s possible for us to set your diamond the same day you choose it. If the ring of your dreams means a completely custom designed ring then from start to finish usually takes a minimum of three weeks and many are closer to six to eight weeks. Since you are an integral part of the process from choosing your diamond to approving waxes and 3D graphics designs of your ring, the time it takes may depend on you. Once all your choices are made, it will likely be about three or four weeks before your ring is ready. During this time, you are welcome to call or stop by to see how it is progressing.

If you are pretty sure you know you want a completely custom designed ring, you should call or email us to schedule an appointment with Brad. If you’re just getting started and want to learn about diamonds and check out all the different styles to see which ones match your taste and style we always have someone at the store who can work with you. If you’ve seen pictures of things you like bring them along on paper or on your phone. If you have diamonds or other gems you would like to use in your ring, bring those. If you have gold, platinum, sterling silver or gems you would like to use for credit for towards your new ring bring those too. Most importantly, bring your personality, your stories and your excitement about this most joyous time. If you’ve done some research and learned about diamond reports and certifications, we can help you build on that knowledge. The most important thing to know is that a diamond can be more or less than its ratings on a report. The report doesn’t capture the fire of a diamond; an essential element of a great choice. A diamond that sounds great on paper or on the internet, could be a real dud and one that didn’t seem to have everything you want may turn out to be a real gem! The only way to know is to see it.
